IIT JAM, whose full name is 'IIT Joint Admission Test for Masters', IIT JAM is a major examination conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Its main objective is to offer M.Sc in various IITs and IICC (Indian Institutes of Science). (Master of Science), M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-M.Tech., and other post-bachelor programmes. IIT JAM was started in 2004. Earlier, each IIT had its own admission process, which required students to appear for various tests. But with the inception of JAM, a joint examination process was organized, which brought more convenience to the students and added meaning to the selection process.
IIT JAM is conducted in various cities across the country to support each and every student to participate.
