UPCET Exam

The Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test (UPCET) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU). Formerly known as the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE), UPCET serves as the gateway for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering, pharmacy, architecture, management, and other professional programs offered by colleges and universities in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.

The UPCET is conducted annually for aspiring students seeking admission to prestigious institutions in Uttar Pradesh. It was previously known as the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) until 2020 when it was rebranded as UPCET. The exam provides a platform for candidates to secure seats in various undergraduate and postgraduate programs, such as B.Tech, B.Pharm, MBA, MCA, and many more.

UPSEE/ UPCET 2023 Exam Latest Notification

  • The UPCET 2023 application form will be released in April 2023 for CUET PG Courses.
  • The UPCET 2023 exam date has been announced for CUET UG Courses. The dates are between the 21st to 31st of May 2023.

UPCET Exam 2023 Pattern & Syllabus

The UPCET exam follows a specific pattern that varies based on the course applied for. The general exam pattern for undergraduate programs is as follows:

For B.Tech/B.Pharm Programs

  • The exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
  • The duration of the exam is usually three hours.
  • The question paper is divided into sections, including Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • The number of questions and marking scheme may vary each year.

For MBA Programs

  • The exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
  • The duration of the exam is usually two hours.
  • The question paper is divided into sections such as Language Proficiency, Numerical Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, and Computer Awareness.

For M.Tech Programs

  • The exam may consist of both multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and subjective questions.
  • The duration of the exam is usually two hours.
  • The question paper is based on the specific branch of engineering chosen by the candidate.
