Keam Exam

The KEAM exam was conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination, Kerala. KEAM, also known as Kerala Engineering, Architecture and Medical, is a state level entrance examination. Its main objective is to select candidates seeking admission to various undergraduate level engineering courses offered by colleges in Kerala.

The admission process of higher education in the state of Kerala is conducted in a special manner, in which the KEAM exam plays an important role. This exam is specially organized for the young students who are thinking of making a career in the field of engineering and technology.

Earlier, architecture and medical courses were also covered under this exam. But now the circumstances have changed. Admission to medical and related courses is done on the basis of NEET score, which is a national level exam. Furthermore, admission to architecture courses is through NATA score.

Both NEET and NATA are unique exams in their own right and they aim to help students get admission in the right course and institute based on their merit and capability.

Through the authorized conduct of the KEAM exam, the Government of Kerala has ensured that the students of its state can access higher education opportunities in a fair and constitutional manner. In the process, the government has also ensured that all admission procedures are transparent and fair.

Apart from this, the main goal of KEAM exam is also to ensure that only deserving and capable students can get admission in engineering courses. With this the quality and standard of the institutions can also be maintained.

- The application form will be released in April 2023. The last date will be May 2023. The correction window will open between May and June 2023.
